Door Knockers or Canvasser The canvasser can: • get voter registration done • engage with voters to discuss political issues • raise awareness about the candidate & their platform • persuade voters to support the candidate • ballot chase – encouraging voters to return their ballots asap Some PACs will pay the canvasser. For the most part this is on a volunteer basis. If you are interested in door knocking, please contact Fabiola at [email protected] & cc Trudi at [email protected] Phone Bankers Phone bankers will call registered voters prior to or on Election Day to ensure voters have a plan to get to the polls, or have mailed in their ballot. This is on a volunteer basis. They do NOT have to work all day.
If you are interested in making phone calls, please contact Fabiola at [email protected] & ccTrudi at [email protected] Sign Blitz On a predeterminded day, at least thirty days before election, a group of volunteers “plant” campaign signs in public places. Volunteers can choose another day to “plant” signs if the predetermined date isn’t convenient.
Three days after election, volunteers will pick up signs from where they were “planted.” Many municipalites, however, prefer signs be removed immediately after election.
If you are interested in “planting” signs, please contact Trudi at [email protected] & cc Fabiola at fgergerich.
