Ways You Can Help

Door Knockers or Canvasser
The canvasser can:
• get voter registration done
• engage with voters to discuss political issues
• raise awareness about the candidate & their platform
• persuade voters to support the candidate
• ballot chase – encouraging voters to return their ballots asap
Some PACs will pay the canvasser. For the most part this is on a volunteer basis.
If you are interested in door knocking, please contact Fabiola at [email protected]
& cc Trudi at [email protected]
Phone Bankers
Phone bankers will call registered voters prior to or on Election Day to ensure
voters have a plan to get to the polls, or have mailed in their ballot. This is on
a volunteer basis. They do NOT have to work all day.

If you are interested in making phone calls, please contact Fabiola at [email protected]
& ccTrudi at [email protected]
Sign Blitz
On a predeterminded day, at least thirty days before election, a group of volunteers
“plant” campaign signs in public places. Volunteers can choose another day to
“plant” signs if the predetermined date isn’t convenient.

Three days after election, volunteers will pick up signs from where they
were “planted.” Many municipalites, however, prefer signs be removed
immediately after election.

If you are interested in “planting” signs, please contact Trudi at [email protected]
& cc Fabiola at fgergerich.

Poll Greeters
These are people who pass out handouts or literature at the voting sites on election
day on behalf of candidates. This is on a volunteer basis. They do NOT have
to work all day.
If you are interested in providing this very critical candidate support, please contact
Fabiola at [email protected] or the candidate’s campaign:

Poll Workers
These are the people who sit at the tables at the voting sites for the entire
day. The clerk will be writing the voters’ names in the number list book.
These are paid positions – $100, & move up the pay scale depending on how
many people vote.
Poll worker training will be on Tues, Oct 15 & Wed, Oct 16 at Rochester VFW.
Choose the date & time most convenient for you; 10:00am, 2:00pm, & 6:00pm.
If you are interested in serving as a Poll Worker, call Jeri Shuits, the Beaver County
Bureau of Elections, at 724-770-4437 or 724-770-4440.
Poll Watchers
All poll watchers must do at least ONE training in order to be certified.
These are people who volunteer (not a paid position) to be election observers
on election day at voting site or observe the pre-canvassing (opening of
MIB envelopes) on election day at the Beaver County Courthouse. They
are appointed and certified by a candidate, a political party, special
interest group or political action committees (PAC). They do NOT have
to work all day.

If you are interested in being a Poll Watcher at the County Courthouse, please contact
Fabiola Gergerich at [email protected]

If you are interested in being a Poll Watcher at a voting site, please contact
Ryan Walbrecher at [email protected]
